Roseanne: Canceled by ABC! Stars, Celebrities React!

ABC swung the ax on Roseanne Tuesday afternoon following series star Roseanne Barr's racist tweet which was aimed at Barack Obama's former adviser. 

The cast, crew, and celebrity world have shared their thoughts on the whole situation, and well, we'll let you be the judge of the reactions.

1. Emma Kenney

Series star Emma Kenney said, "As I called my manager to quit working on Roseanne, I was told it was cancelled. I feel so empowered by @iamwandasykes , Channing Dungey and anyone at ABC standing up for morals and abuse of power. Bullies will NEVER win."

2. Michael Fishman

"Today is one of the hardest in my life," series star Michael Fishman wrote in a note posted to Twitter.

"I feel devastated, not for the end of the Roseanne show, but for all those who poured their hearts and souls into our jobs, and the audience that welcomed us into their homes."

3. Sara Gilbert

"Roseanne’s recent comments about Valerie Jarrett, and so much more, are abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or anyone associated with our show," said series star Sara Gilbert. "I am disappointed in her actions to say the least."

4. Bruce Helford

“On behalf of all the writers and producers, we worked incredibly hard to create an amazing show,” Helford says in a statement released through his agent.

“I was personally horrified and saddened by the comments and in no way do they reflect the values of the people who worked so hard to make this the iconic show that it is.”

5. Shonda Rhimes

"The terrible part is all of the talented innocent people who worked on that show now suffer because of this," Rhimes began in her Twitter statement."

"#notjustice But honestly she got what she deserved. As I tell my 4 year old, one makes a choice with one’s actions. Roseanne made a choice. A racist one. ABC made a choice. A human one."

6. Misha Collins

"Roseanne was making boatloads of $ for @DisneyABCTV," said the Supernatural star.

"For them to cancel it because of Roseanne’s racist, xenophobic rants on twitter shows a great deal of corporate responsibility & just how powerful the public’s outrage can be! Keep raising your voices!"
