Earn's story is not quite over yet.
FX has handed out a third season renewal to its hit comedy-drama series Atlanta.
“Atlanta is phenomenal, achieving and exceeding what few television series have done,” FX original programming president Nick Grad said in a statement.
“With Atlanta Robbin’ Season, Donald and his collaborators elevated the series to even greater heights, building on the enormous success of their award-winning first season."
"We’re grateful to the producers and our extraordinary cast and crew for achieving this level of excellence, and we share the excitement with our audience about the third season knowing they will continue to take us to unexpected and thrilling places.”

Donald Glover stars as Earn on the groundbreaking series which focuses on a college dropout who manages the career of his cousin.
It struck a chord with critics when it launched back in 2016, with Atlanta Season 1 amassing an approval rating of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.
It remained a hit with critics in Season 2, the rating swelled to 99%. In live + same day ratings, Season 2 secured 0.6 million viewers and a 0.3 rating among adults 18-49.
In addition, the series won a Golden Globe for best comedy series, while Glover secured an Emmy win for best lead actor in a comedy series.
However, the ratings surged almost 170% when 7 days of DVR was factored in.

There's no word yet on when the series will return to FX, but given the fact that there was a 16-month wait between Seasons 1 and 2, there's a good chance it could be a while.
The second season came to a close last month.
