There are just five episodes of The Originals left.
It was confirmed last year that the hit vampire drama is coming to an end, series creator Julie Plec took to social media early Thursday morning to warn fans that multiple "significant deaths" are on the horizon.
"After tonight, there are five episodes of #TheOriginals left before the end of it's run," Plec dished.
"There are about as many significant deaths coming. I know you're mourning, and it's going to be hard, but there is some real beauty, love, and peace to come too. Buckle up."
When a supernatural series is coming to a close, it's generally the rule of thumb that multiple deaths will occur in the final episodes.

However, fans are still reeling from the death of Phoebe Tonkin's Haley which occurred on The Originals Season 5 Episode 6.
The hybrid had her werewolf aspect turned off and became a vampire. In a surprising twist of fate, she let herself burn in the sun to save her family from anyone else dying.
It was a surprising twist, especially considering how much of an important character Hayley was to the narrative.
More recently, we learned that a new prophecy is hard at work to bring an end to the family and everything they stand for, and it's all linked to The Hollow.

One character we know who will definitely survive is Hope Mikaelson. As previously reported, Danielle Rose Russell will co-star with The Vampire Diaries' Matt Davis on Legacies, a spinoff set at Salvatore Boarding School for the Young & Gifted.
One possible death could be Elijah who got his memories back on The Originals Season 5 Episode 8 and will now have to deal with the ramifications of being part of the reason for Hayley's death.
Okay, The Originals Fanatics!
