Just days after the announcement that Thora Birch is joining the cast of The Walking Dead Season 10, we have a first look.
AMC dropped some stills from the new season, and the most striking of which is Birch's new character, Gamma.
The first photo shows Gamma in her full whisperer costume. Yes, these villains really do wear the skin of the dead.
If you watch The Walking Dead online, you know that the Whisperers have proven to be quite the formbidable force for our heroes.
At the close of The Walking Dead Season 9, they butchered a bunch of beloved characters in an expolosive twist that made the rest of the characters vow to get some revenge.

Where will Gamma fit into all of this?
“She is going to be playing Gamma, a Whisperer who is fiercely protective of Alpha," said executive producer Gale Ann Hurd at the show's Comic-Con panel.
If there's one thing we know, it's that Alpha has a lot of followers who will do her bidding if she requires them to.
This makes Samantha Morton's alter ego all the more scarier. People are willing to go out into this post-apocalyptic world and fight for her.

We still don't know why we didn't get to meet Gamma on The Walking Dead Season 9, but it's possible that she was off doing a mission away from the action.
We already met Beta who was willing to go to extreme measures to keep his boss safe, and to make the heroes suffer.
There's going to be a lot of testing times ahead.
AMC has also released a photo of Eugene, and he's still using the radio to try communicate with other communities.
As you will recall, The Walking Dead Season 9 Episode 16 featured a mysterious voice coming through the radio.
Many fans thought this meant that the Commonwealth arc from the comicbooks was gearing up to take flight, but there's no solid proof of that.

It's possible that it could be Maggie sending a message to her former friends to make sure that they're safe with the horrific weather conditions.
Alas, we'll need to tune into The Walking Dead Season 10 when it debuts Sunday, October 6.
In sad news, Danai Gurira will only be in a handful of episodes before bowing out of the series for good.
There's no confirmation, but it's possible she could be joining Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes on the movie trilogy that is coming to theaters.
