Over on NBC, This Is Us lost considerable steam, launching with 7.7 million total viewers and a 1.8 rating. Still, the hit drama dominated the night.
New Amsterdam returned with its best numbers since November, with 6.3 million viewers and a 1.1 rating.
NCIS was on par with last season's premiere, and way up from its finale with 12.3 million viewers and a 1.3 rating.
FBI (8.8 million/0.9 rating) and NCIS: New Orleans (6.7 million/0.7 rating) were on par with their spring averages.
ABC's The Conners tied a series low in the demo with a 1.3 rating and 5.7 million viewers.
Bless This Mess returned with 4 million viewers and a 0.8 rating, while the series debut of mixedish had 4 million viewers and a 0.9 rating.
blackish had 3.5 million viewers and a 0.8 rating.
Finally, Emergence started soft 4.1 million viewers and a 0.8 rating.
