LA's Finest is a go!
Per Deadline, the star-studded spinoff of the Bad Boys movie franchise has landed a series order ... in Canada.
Bell Media has joined forces with Sony Pictures Television to bring the drama to Canadian audiences, and the order is for 13 episodes.
But that's not to say U.S. audiences will be left in the dark when the highly anticipated series launches.
It was originally in the works at NBC and was pegged as one of the likely contenders to snag a series order, but the network opted to go in another direction and let it go.

Ever since Sony has been desperately trying to make the series become a reality, and it looks like its relentlessness has paid off.
The company is still trying to get a U.S. home, but there are talks with Charter Communications going on right now, and given Bell Media's involvement, the series will likely get a home stateside relatively quickly.
The official logline for the offshoot reads:
Free-spirited former DEA agent Syd Burnett has a fresh start in her new job as an LAPD detective. She’s partnered with Nancy McKenna, a working mom who can’t help but look at Syd’s freedom with some grass-is-greener envy.

These two have totally different lifestyles and approaches, but they both are at the top of their fields in this action-packed, character-driven procedural.
With Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba leading the cast, it was always considered to be one of the buzziest series of the 2018-19 season if it landed at a network.
Ryan McPartlin, Ernie Hudson, Zach Gilford and Duane Martin are also part of the cast. Yes, this is a show to watch out for TV Fanatics.
